Retail Broker Intern- Milwaukee
Wisconsin’s largest full-service commercial real estate organization is seeking a Retail Broker Intern to work part-time (approximately 20-25 hours per week, but no less than 20 hours M-F, 7:30-5:30) throughout the year at our downtown Milwaukee office. Ideal candidates will have an entrepreneurial mindset, and interest in commercial real estate brokerage, and be able to stay with us and grow with our organization for a year or more. Please note, this is not a summer-only position. This position is open to students graduating in December 2011 or later (freshmen, sophomores and juniors) and is available immediately. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, a valid driver’s license, and strong academic performance to date, are required. Responsibilities include assisting Retail brokers in the preparation of proposals, marketing materials, client reports and presentation materials, cataloging tenants, collecting data and updating databases, compiling market data and trends, accompanying brokers on site tours and client meetings, photographing properties, assisting segment support specialists and more.

Marketing Assistant
Wisconsin's leader in commercial real estate is seeking an energetic and production-oriented Marketing Assistant to join our Marketing Team! Duties will include assisting with marketing the various business units within MLG to internal and external audiences. Responsibilities include:
•Writing and designing proposals
•Performing and coordinating market research
•Developing and delivering brochures, flyers, ads, web content and other marketing materials
•Proofreading the marketing efforts of others, to ensure work conforms with branding strategies
•Updating existing web sites
•Using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and HTML programming as needed to develop marketing materials
•General marketing project coordination
•Coordinating sign installation as needed
•Other duties as assigned
Candidates should be strong writers with experience in creative, copy and press release writing, and have an excellent command of the English language. Candidates should also have strong written communication skills, as well as the ability to interface with peers, sales professionals, clients and organizational leaders. Working in a team environment, critical thinking skills when working on projects and the ability to prioritize are critical. Basic graphic design skills are required.
Two to four years of experience plus a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or English or a closely related field is required. Candidates should be interested in marketing and advertising in the commercial real estate industry and have intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, HTML programming and MAC operating systems.
